Robotics investments in October 2024 were worth $7.4bn made from 77 funding rounds. The largest investment round was a $5.6bn raise by Waymo, the most significant single round of the year. October’s total was the highest for ten months of a year with $20bn so far being raised. Companies based in the United States, led by Waymo's $5.6bn, attracted the most investment, with approximately $6.4bn. Developers of autonomous driving technologies dominated the top five, including WeRide ($320m), Didi Woya ($298m), Outrider ($62m) and Vay ($37m).

October 2024’s investments were the largest through 10 months of the year. The previous monthly high was the $3.7bn raised in September 2024.
Waymo raised $5.6bn as it continues to scale its robotaxi service. Waymo is now providing over 150k paid robotaxi rides per week.
