Rocket League, the popular 'soccar' game, turns 10 years old today, originally launching on PC and PS4 on July 7, 2011.
Rocket League is actually a sequel to 2008's Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars and was one of the first cross-platform multiplayer titles at the time.
Developer Psyonix is celebrating Rocket League's 10th anniversary throughout Season 19 with new player anthems, a special variation on DFH Stadium, and log-in rewards.
Since its launch in 2015, Rocket League has achieved milestones such as surpassing 5 million downloads within a month, transitioning to free-to-play in Summer 2020, and remaining part of Psyonix's plans despite the release of Rocket Racing in 2023 as part of Fortnite.
