Rockstar Games has increased the prices of Red Dead Redemption and Red Dead Redemption 2 in select countries, including the UK, Brazil, Chile, and the Czech Republic, sparking frustration among fans.
In the UK, prices for these games went up by £5 to £15, while in Pakistan, Red Dead Redemption 2 saw a significant price jump from PKR 4,000 to PKR 5,800.
Fans suspect that Rockstar may be testing pricing strategies in preparation for a next-gen update or the release of Grand Theft Auto VI, despite the company not providing an official explanation for the price hikes.
The sudden price increases come after a recent discounted sale on Steam, which makes the changes in prices confusing for players and hints at the unpredictable nature of digital game pricing.
