Ross Ulbricht raised $1.8 million in a Bitcoin auction following his presidential pardon by President Trump earlier this year.
Ulbricht announced the sale as a symbolic reset and shared that the items represented a closed chapter for him.
Items in the auction included personal and prison-era memorabilia like a backpack, sleeping bag, clothing, and original artworks created by Ulbricht while incarcerated.
Notable items sold included Ulbricht’s final prison ID card for 11 BTC and a collaborative painting titled 'Archway' created by Ulbricht and a fellow inmate.
