The Indian rupee opened at 85.48 and rose 10 paise to 85.54 against the US dollar in early trade.The currency had gained 16 paise to close at 85.64 against the dollar in the previous session.The rupee had strengthened by 104 paise over the past three sessions since April 9.The fall in equity market sentiment and a slight recovery in crude oil prices added pressure on the rupee.
