SAP revises diversity targets; shifts focus to employee well-being

  • SAP is revising its diversity and inclusion strategy by dropping its previous goal of 40% women in the workforce.
  • The company is now focusing on employee well-being in response to changing legal frameworks, especially in the US and Germany.
  • SAP is replacing its diversity metrics with the Business Health Culture Index (BHCI) to measure employee experience and inclusivity beyond demographic targets.
  • To embed these values, SAP will consolidate its Diversity & Inclusion office with its Corporate Social Responsibility function into a unit named 'Social Responsibility, Inclusion and Communities.'
