Sasaki Associates, in collaboration with Oman’s Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, has unveiled a masterplan for a rejuvenated waterfront in Salalah, Oman.
The masterplan covers a 7.3 square-kilometer area and focuses on sustainable urban living, featuring 12,000 residential units, parks, open spaces, retail areas, and hospitals.
The development integrates coastal development with environmental preservation, safeguarding the city's natural features and implementing strategies to protect against climate change impacts.
The project aligns with Oman Vision 2040 and the Greater Salalah Structural Plan, aiming to support economic diversification, sustainable growth, and increased tourism in the region.
