Asus has released a new version of its GPU software suite called GPU Tweak III, which includes a power monitoring feature called Power Detector+.
Power Detector+ warns users if any of the pins on their graphics card's power connector have too many amps flowing through them, potentially leading to a cable-melting disaster.
The software is currently exclusive to ROG Astral and Matrix graphics cards and monitors the amps value for the pins inside the connector plugged into the graphics card.
If a pin is not seated properly or the amps value exceeds 9 amps, the Power Detector+ utility will flag up a warning, allowing users to check and resolve any power cable issues.
