Scientists have discovered a 240-million-year-old fossil of an aquatic reptile resembling a Chinese dragon in Guizhou Province, southern China.
The fossil belongs to the Dinocephalosaurus orientalis and provides a comprehensive view of the creature, measuring about 16 feet in length.
Dinocephalosaurus was a sea reptile with a long neck that likely used it to catch fish, but its limb structure suggests it spent most of its time in the water.
The discovery has fascinated scientists and offers insights into the evolution and feeding behavior of this ancient reptile.
