Seagate has announced its first hard disk drive (HDD) based on the heat-assisted magnetic recording (HAMR) technology.The new Exos M 30TM and 32TB HDD features 3TB per platter and three times the power efficiency per terabyte compared to other hard drives.HAMR technology allows for smaller regions and more space per platter, potentially leading to a 50TB HDD in the future.There's no official release date yet for the Exos M, but interested individuals can sign up for email updates on Seagate's product page.
