<ul><li>Sensex gained 289.00 pts or 0.35 per cent to trade at 82,477.99, with Nifty 50 rising by 106.35 pts or 0.43 per cent to reach 25,109.40.</li><li>Financials, PSU banks, private banks, and IT indexes led the rally with 12 of the 13 major sectors advancing, while the realty index dipped.</li><li>NBFC stocks like Muthoot Finance, IIFL Finance, and Manappuram Finance surged 3-6 per cent after RBI released new guidelines on gold loans.</li><li>Stocks of Kotak Mahindra Bank, Bajaj Finance, Jio Financial Services, Axis Bank, and Trent drove gains in Nifty 50, while ICICI Bank, Eternal, HDFC Life, UltraTech Cement, and Titan were the major laggards.</li></ul>
