Google co-founder Sergey Brin has given away more than 4 million Alphabet shares worth nearly $700 million, with the recipient unknown.
The gift included both Class A and Class C stock, with different voting rights, bringing the total value to over $693 million.
Brin, ranked 10th on the Bloomberg Billionaires Index with a net worth of about $144 billion, has a history of large donations, including a $600 million gift in May 2023.
The recipient could be a charity, financial vehicle, or trust. Brin has previously made significant donations, including shares worth over $100 million in 2024, and he has a personal foundation supporting causes like research into Parkinson's disease and the climate crisis.
