Share Photos Online While Protecting Your Privacy

  • Apple provides settings to help balance sharing moments online with data privacy.
  • Create a single album to post on social media for easy and private sharing.
  • You can grant app access to a specific photo album, keeping the rest of your photos private.
  • By creating an album, you save time searching in your entire Photo Library for shareable photos.
  • Steps to create and share a single album with an app on your iPhone running iOS 18.5.
  • 1. Open Photos app and tap on Albums.
  • 2. Create a New Album with a specific name.
  • 3. Add the photos you want to allow apps to access to this album.
  • 4. Navigate to Settings > Privacy & Security > Photos on your iPhone.
  • 5. Tap on the app to change its photo access.
  • 6. Choose Limited Access and select the album you created.
  • 7. Select the photos to be shared with the app.
  • 8. You can add more photos to this album but need to adjust settings for each addition.
  • Maintaining privacy requires effort but is worthwhile in safeguarding your personal data.
