Shimla is set to introduce Asia's longest ropeway, spanning 13.79 kilometers under a Public-Private Partnership model.The Tara Devi-Shimla Ropeway Project is being undertaken at an estimated cost of Rs 1,734.40 crore.Once completed, it will be the second-longest ropeway in the world, after Bolivia's 32-kilometer-long system.The ropeway will accommodate around 2,000 passengers per hour, reduce travel time, and provide a panoramic view of the surroundings.
