<ul><li>Bollywood actor Shreyas Talpade and 14 others have been named in a deceptive multi-crore chit fund scam in Uttar Pradesh's Mahoba district.</li><li>They were allegedly associated with 'The Loni Urban Multistate Credit and Thrift Cooperative Society Limited' and misled rural investors with promises of high returns.</li><li>The company abruptly ceased operations after collecting crores from unsuspecting rural investors, and its representatives disappeared.</li><li>Earlier, an FIR was filed against Talpade and senior actor Alok Nath for defrauding investors of over ₹9 crore.</li></ul>
