Siemens Ltd secures two orders totaling ₹773 crore from Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Ltd for providing signalling and telecom technologies to the Nagpur Metro Rail Project.
The project encompasses the design, manufacture, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of Communication-Based Train Control signalling technology and advanced telecommunication technologies for Phase 2 of the Nagpur Metro Rail Project.
The technology implementation aims to enhance train frequency, improve passenger experience, and ensure top safety standards across the 43.8-kilometre network covering 32 stations.
The project is expected to contribute significantly to the sustainable urban development of Nagpur by integrating automation, digitalization, and sustainability, thereby advancing India's urban future.
