Singapore has announced new funding measures to support workforce transformation and lifelong learning.
Enhancements to the SkillsFuture initiative include expanding training allowances to part-time programmes, benefiting mid-career employees aged 40 and above.
Lower-wage employees will receive monthly training allowances through an enhanced Workfare Skills Support scheme, focusing on longer-form training for reskilling and upskilling.
The government is providing support to organizations through the SkillsFuture Workforce Development Grant, SkillsFuture Enterprise Credit, and additional grants for Company Training Committees.
