Singapore has banned Polymarket, a prediction market on the blockchain, citing it as an unregulated gambling site.
The ban is in line with Singapore's efforts to crack down on online gambling and enforce strict regulations.
Violators of the ban may face penalties of up to SG$10,000 and imprisonment of up to six months.
Polymarket has faced previous regulatory issues, including a $1.4 million fine from the US CFTC for operating an unregulated derivatives trading platform.
