Fintech company Slice has launched the Slice UPI credit card, offering no joining or annual fees, allowing users to make UPI transactions by drawing from their credit line, and providing up to 3% cashback on all transactions.
Slice has introduced a 'slice in 3' feature where users can split a purchase into three interest-free instalments. They can link their credit card directly to UPI, enabling various transactions such as scanning QR codes, making payments at stores, splitting bills, and ordering online.
In addition to the credit card, Slice has unveiled India's first UPI-powered physical bank branch and ATM in Koramangala, Bengaluru, facilitating withdrawals, deposits, account openings, and other banking services. The branch offers total UPI integration across all customer interactions.
Slice's CEO, Satish Kumar Kalra, highlighted the advancement in credit access and inclusion by introducing credit on UPI, while Founder Rajan Bajaj emphasized transforming the credit card with UPI's assistance to enhance the credit aspect. Bajaj also mentioned the UPI ATM's role in making basic banking services economically viable for a larger population.
