The Smarter Web Company, a UK-based web design and digital services firm, raised £29.3 million in new funding to support its Bitcoin treasury strategy.
The funding was secured through an accelerated bookbuild and subscription with institutional investors, with shares priced at £1.80 each.
Over 16.2 million new shares were issued, raising approximately £29.3 million, well above the initial target of £15 million.
Just days prior to the funding round, the company added 74.27 Bitcoin to its holdings for £5.98 million, bringing its total holdings to 242.34 BTC.
The Smarter Web Company views Bitcoin as a fundamental part of the future financial system.
The company started incorporating Bitcoin into its treasury strategy back in 2023, accepting Bitcoin as payment and formalizing a Bitcoin Treasury Policy in April 2025.
Upon admission of the new shares around June 19, the company's total shares will exceed 220 million.
