Solana Foundation has fixed a bug affecting Token-2022 and ZK ElGamal Proof that could have allowed unauthorized minting by attackers.
The bug was discovered on April 16, impacting the privacy of the blockchain platform's Token-22 confidential tokens, but has since been resolved.
No known exploits have been reported, and Solana validators have adopted the patched version to address the issue, which primarily affected Token-2022 and ZK ElGamal Proof programs.
After encountering the bug, Solana validators implemented the patches, sparking debates about centralization concerns within the crypto community due to the close relationship between the Foundation and validators.
