Somaiya Vidyavihar University is organizing the Somaiya Innovation and Impact Festival (SIIF) on February 21 and 22, 2025.
The predominant focus of the festival is to explore the theme of ‘Empowering Communities through Conversations, Collaborations and Creativity’ and encouraging impactful innovation and entrepreneurship.
The university campus will be transformed into dynamic ‘hives’ showcasing innovative start-ups and projects, with each hive representing a different discipline.
Mumbai’s water crisis solution is a major attraction of the event, with mentorship sessions being conducted by Dr. Subhajit Mukherjee.
The event will be graced by distinguished speakers like Dr. Niranjan Hiranandani, Founder & Chairman, Hiranandani Group, and Saiwyn Quadras, renowned Indian screenwriter.
The festival will have special hackathons, workshops to engage in hands-on creative experiences and the launch of Somaiya Angel Network.
The primary constituents of SIIF will include diverse immersive workshops, thought-provoking installations, and booths spotlighting eco-friendly innovations in the fashion industry.
The event aims to create an ecosystem where start-ups, innovators and thought leaders can thrive and leave a lasting imprint on society.
SIIF 2025 is aimed at fostering a culture of innovation and impact to address the challenges of tomorrow.
SIIF will combine Somaiya Vidyavihar University’s signature events — Maker Mela, Darwin, and Nazariya — into a unified platform promoting impactful innovation and entrepreneurship.
