SpaceX's ninth Starship test flight took off from SpaceX's Starbase in Texas, marking a major milestone as the first flight to reuse a Super Heavy booster.
The Super Heavy booster completed its ascent burn and reached space but experienced a 'rapid unscheduled disassembly' during the landing attempt.
The Starship spacecraft, known as the 'Ship,' encountered issues including a stuck payload bay door and an attitude control error, preventing it from deploying eight Starlink simulator satellites.
Despite the setbacks, SpaceX plans to review the data gathered and continue flying the Starship over the next three flights every three to four weeks.
