Starbucks discriminated on the basis of race and sex through its diversity, equity and inclusion programs, according to a lawsuit filed by the Missouri Attorney General.
The lawsuit alleged that Starbucks employed race- and sex-based quotas, unlawfully segregated employees, and provided extra job benefits to 'preferred minorities'.
Starbucks spokesperson denied the allegations, stating that their hiring practices are inclusive and fair.
This lawsuit follows previous legal challenges against Starbucks' diversity programs and comes at a critical time for DEI initiatives.
