Starlink is nearing its India debut with final regulatory approval pending from the space regulator IN-SPACe.
Once Starlink signs the draft authorisation document issued by IN-SPACe, the company can receive the final green signal to start operations in India.
Starlink needs to fulfill security and technical requirements, establish ground infrastructure such as earth stations and gateways, and demonstrate proper system functionality to obtain final security clearance.
Starlink is expected to launch its services in India in the next two months with hardware installation costs estimated at Rs 33,000 to Rs 35,000, monthly plans around Rs 3,000 with speeds ranging from 25 Mbps to 200 Mbps and an average of 100 Mbps.
