Starlink services are set to transform customer experiences on ScotRail trains in rural Scotland through a pilot program with Clarus Networks.
Six class 158 trains on routes from Inverness to Wick, Thurso, Kyle of Lochalsh, and Aberdeen will be equipped with Starlink equipment for improved connectivity.
The initiative, backed by the Scottish Government, aims to address longstanding connectivity challenges, offering benefits like improved Wi-Fi service, GPS tracking, and live CCTV access.
If successful, the trial could expand across ScotRail's fleet and influence future train procurements, setting a precedent for global rail connectivity.
