Startup India Desk To Be Set Up In DPIIT To Serve As Helpline: Piyush Goyal

  • Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal announced the setting up of a dedicated Startup India desk within the ministry to serve as a helpline for entrepreneurs accessible through a toll-free number.
  • The second Fund of Funds for Startups with a corpus of Rs 10,000 crore has been approved, with Rs 2,000 crore to be disbursed to SIDBI as the first installment.
  • The fund will focus on seed funding for small startups and deep-tech innovation startups in domains such as AI, robotics, quantum computing, and biotech.
  • Piyush Goyal urged SIDBI to establish support centers in every state to provide infrastructure and facilities for early-stage entrepreneurs.
