<ul><li>Various states and urban local bodies owe Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) over ₹2,700 crore for installing LED street lights under the Street Lighting National Programme (SLNP).</li><li>The outstanding receivables amounting to ₹2,700.54 crore have become a major challenge for EESL, the implementing agency of SLNP.</li><li>EESL and the Ministry of Power are actively pursuing the concerned states and urban local bodies for the release of outstanding payments.</li><li>SLNP has successfully installed over 1.31 crore LED street lights, resulting in significant energy and cost savings for municipalities and gram panchayats.</li></ul>
