A developer named Chris has created a project that interfaces SteamVR controllers with addressable LEDs.
Using Python, OpenVR, and WLED-controlled LED strips, Chris created a mapping utility to virtually represent the LED strips' location in the real world.
The setup allows pointing the controller towards a specific location to light up the corresponding LED strips, creating an immersive environment for VR games.
The project is currently a proof of concept, but Chris aims to further integrate it with games like BeatSaber to synchronize the lights with the in-game environment.
