Daipu Architects completes Streaming Light Exhibition Hall, a steel mesh curtain that doubles as a rain collecting device.
The exhibition hall, located in the village of Caijiapo, China, was designed to address the site's susceptibility to flooding during heavy summer rains.
A wave-shaped perforated metal roof extends sculpturally to form part of the facade, veiling the traditional structure behind and serving as a pathway for visitors.
The steel mesh curtain reflects the sky and sun at certain angles, dissolving into its surroundings, and offers various atmospheres throughout the day.
