Stellantis, the world’s fourth-largest automaker, has reversed its decision to lay off 1,100 employees at its Toledo South Assembly Plant in Ohio.
The layoffs were initially announced as part of a broader restructuring initiative.
However, the company has now extended its Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) notice for the Ohio plant, ensuring job security for workers.
This decision may reflect tensions with the United Auto Workers (UAW) union and Stellantis' focus on maintaining its workforce while addressing operational challenges.
