Stillman College and North Carolina Central University recently received $1 million donations from Google to strengthen the tech giant's commitment to diversifying the cybersecurity field.
Stillman College received the donation in honor of Kevin Lamar Harris, who founded the university's HBCU Cybersecurity Clinic and played a pivotal role in securing a previous $500,000 donation from Google.
North Carolina Central University received the donation to establish the Institute for Artificial Intelligence and Equity Research, the first program of its kind at an HBCU.
Both institutions expressed gratitude to Google for their investments, which will empower students to become leaders in cybersecurity and artificial intelligence fields.
