Architecture students of Soochow University in Suzhou, China, have completed the XBAMBOO Cabin, a 6-square-meter pavilion made out of raw bamboo and timber.
The cabin serves as a teahouse and meditation space, nestled within the Dushuhu Campus, surrounded by a lush bamboo forest.
The structure features an acrylic panel and timber frame, optimized using AI-generated timber frame algorithms to enhance lightweight and efficiency.
The design combines traditional timber techniques, robotic fabrication, and the utilization of locally sourced materials to create an eco-friendly retreat.
