Decentralized exchange Cetus on the Sui blockchain was exploited, resulting in over $260 million being stolen.
The attacker converted stolen assets to USDC and transferred around $60 million to Ethereum, exchanging it for ETH.
The exploiter spent $58.3 million USDC to buy 21,938 ETH at an average price of $2,658 per token.
Cetus confirmed the exploit, paused smart contracts, and initiated an internal investigation. Several Sui-based tokens on Cetus experienced significant value drops.
