Chinese universities and research institutions were still able to purchase servers equipped with restricted Nvidia chips despite US export restrictions.
Loopholes in US export restrictions on high-performance GPU chips to China have raised concerns within the US government.

Nvidia, Dell, and Gigabyte responded stating that the relevant tenders were for products exported before the tightened restrictions and that further investigations would be conducted.
