Susan Wojcicki is stepping down as CEO of YouTube after nine years at the helm. She plans to focus on her family, health, and personal projects she is passionate about.
Neal Mohan, YouTube’s longtime chief product officer, will replace Wojcicki as CEO. Wojcicki will take on an advisory role across Google and Alphabet, offering counsel and guidance.
Under Wojcicki’s leadership, YouTube grew to more than 2.6 billion active users and generated $29.2 billion in ad sales in 2022, more than 10% of Alphabet’s total revenue.
Wojcicki has been widely recognized for her contributions to Google and YouTube, including being named "the most important person in advertising" and one of Time's 100 most influential people.
