Swedish femtech venture studio, Daya Ventures, has announced the first close of its funding round, securing SEK 2 million out of the targeted SEK 8 million.
The funding includes investments from notable backers from Wall Street and Europe, aimed at scaling Daya's 'Ecosystem for Women's Health' model and supporting global expansion.
In just two years, Daya Ventures has founded ten femtech companies, built a portfolio with majority female ownership, and launched an innovation hub in East Africa.
Daya Ventures focuses on addressing overlooked needs in women's health by creating startups majority-owned by women, with the company retaining a stake in each for reinvestment in future innovation.
