Taco Bell franchisee, Teamlyders LLC, and its affiliated businesses allegedly allowed sexual harassment of female employees, including underage workers, to persist.
An HR manager interviewed four female employees who confirmed the harassing conduct, but no action was taken until two months later when the alleged harasser was fired for 'improper cash handling' and 'inappropriate physical contact with another employee.'
EEOC also alleged that Teamlyders retaliated against an assistant general manager when it fired her on the same day she reported harassment.
This lawsuit is one of the first filed under EEOC acting chair Andrea Lucas, who aims to protect women from sexual harassment and sex-based discrimination in the workplace.
