VO Chidambaranar Port in Tamil Nadu plans to become the Green Hydrogen hub of India with a Rs 41,860-crore investment.The port has allocated 501 acres of land to four firms for establishing green hydrogen and ammonia manufacturing and storage facilities.The port aims to complete a pilot demonstration for the production of green hydrogen, storage, and power generation by January 2025.VOC port has taken measures to increase cargo throughput and enhance handling efficiency to expand its market share in the region.
