TCS added 5,090 employees to its headcount in the June quarter, marking a second consecutive quarter of additions after a period of slow hiring.
The company's attrition rate rose to 13.8% in the same quarter, slightly higher than the previous quarter's rate of 13.3%.
TCS now has 1.14 lakh employees with 'higher-order AI skills' out of about 6.13 lakh in its global workforce as of June 2025, up from 6.07 lakh employees in March.
The company's Resource Management Group recently implemented a policy requiring employees to ensure project assignments and limiting non-billable bench time, which faced opposition from the All India IT Employee Union.
