TECHNOCrafts’ 3D printed pots designed to biodegrade pay homage to AlUla’s lush oasis

  • TECHNOCrafts' Alwadiya: The Living Pots, on display at the Raw to Revival exhibition at the AlUla Arts Festival, are biodegradable vessels designed to decompose into the land it came from.
  • The pots are 3D printed using a natural cellulose-based material infused with carbon dioxide absorbing compound, wrapped in linen and biodegradable skins naturally colored with local fruits and herbs.
  • These pots propose an alternative perspective on sustainability and preservation, reintegrating into the broader ecological cycle over time.
  • The exhibition will be held at Design Space AlUla in Saudi Arabia from January 16th to April 19th, 2025.
