Tesla has added a new feature in software update 2025.20 for Model 3 and Model Y owners who use third-party chargers.
Owners can now unlatch the charging cable by pulling and holding the rear left door handle for three seconds, making it easier to stop charging sessions.
This feature is especially helpful for those using home or other chargers with NACS adapters that may not have an unlatch button or require manual unlocking.
The update simplifies the process of releasing the charge cable without having to access the trunk, enhancing user experience for Tesla EV owners.
