Elon Musk confirmed that Tesla and his A.I. start-up, xAI, will be buying a large number of microchips from Nvidia.
xAI, which owns social media company X, has already deployed 200,000 Nvidia GPUs at its Memphis facility and plans to set up a one million GPU facility.
Musk did not provide specific numbers but mentioned the demand for microchips for Tesla's Dojo supercomputer and xAI's training cluster.
The high demand for microchips by Musk's companies is positive news for both Nvidia and AMD, benefiting their future sales.
