A Tesla executive has responded to a study that claimed the company’s vehicles have the highest rate of fatal accidents across automotive brands.
Tesla VP of Vehicle Engineering Lars Moravy called the study 'clickbait' and questioned the accuracy of the calculations used in the study.
Moravy highlighted that Tesla's vehicles have been consistently regarded as among the safest cars on the road and pointed to the large number of miles driven by Tesla vehicles.
The study analyzed data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and found that Tesla's vehicles had a higher fatal accident rate compared to other vehicles.
