Tesla has expanded testing of its upcoming 'Robotaxi' ride-share app with employees in Austin, Texas.
The service will initially launch with standard Tesla vehicles using safety drivers and later transition to driverless Cybercab vehicles.
The Robotaxi service will be initially deployed with 10 to 20 Model Y vehicles in Austin before expanding to other cities and vehicle models.
Tesla has been granted approval in California to carry passengers with safety drivers and is aiming to achieve fully autonomous rides with additional approvals.
