Tesla Model Y getting even cheaper version – report
- Tesla is reportedly planning to introduce a lower-cost version of the Model Y SUV.
- The more affordable Model Y, codenamed E41, will be built on existing production lines at Tesla’s Shanghai plant.
- Mass production of the E41 is expected to begin in 2026.
- This version of the Model Y will be smaller and at least 20 per cent cheaper to produce.
