Tesla rolls out new crucial safety feature aimed at saving children

  • Tesla has rolled out a new safety feature called 'Child Left Alone Detection' that aims to prevent children from being left unattended in cars.
  • The feature is included in Software Update 2025.14.12 and uses ultrawave sensors to detect the presence of unattended children in Tesla vehicles.
  • When an unattended child is detected, the vehicle will flash exterior lights, play an alert tone, and send a notification to the Tesla app until the driver returns to the car.
  • Initially, the feature is being rolled out to mid-2023 and later Model 3 vehicles in Europe, with other models and regions to receive the update in the future.
