PepsiCo plans to build 18 new Semi Megacharging stalls at its facility in Charlotte, North Carolina, as Tesla continues electrifying its fleet.
The charging stations will feature faster charging speeds of up to 1MW, allowing the Class 8 Semi to reach around 70 percent charge in 30 minutes.
PepsiCo, a significant Tesla Semi customer, has been expanding its fleet, with around 86 units as of last year and has Megachargers at various California sites.
Tesla has been delivering electric Class 8 units to several companies for pilot programs, with PepsiCo employees expressing positive feedback about the Semis over diesel trucks.
