Tesla Sweden responds to a car magazine's claims that the Model 3 sedan has deficient brakes after tests showed a longer braking distance than expected.
The Swedish car magazine's tests revealed the Model 3 had a braking distance of 133.2 feet, which was 9.2 feet longer than the acceptable standard. Comparisons were made to the VW ID.7 Tourer's shorter braking distance.
Tesla Sweden disputed the magazine's findings, stating that the braking performance did not align with their internal tests or the Model 3's safety ratings. They are investigating the discrepancies in results.
Despite Tesla's response, the car magazine, Teknikens Värld, stands by its claim that the new Model 3 has deficient brakes, emphasizing that the vehicle's previous brake test results and safety ratings are not relevant to the current generation of the Model 3.
