The Hemi V8 engine is returning to the Ram 1500 lineup for 2026 after being removed in 2025 in favor of twin-turbo 3.0-liter I6 engines.
Ram CEO Tim Kuniskis acknowledged the mistake of removing the Hemi V8 and expressed that customer satisfaction is a top priority for the brand.
While the Hemi 5.7-liter V8 retains its output of 395 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque, it now comes with a standard performance exhaust system and a 33-gallon fuel tank.
Despite not being the most powerful option, the Hemi V8 offers a payload capacity of 1,750 pounds and a towing limit of 11,470 pounds in the Ram 1500.
